Wilburn Ross was a soldier in World War II. He fought against the Germans in a big battle. He kept many German soldiers from moving forward, so he received a special honor.
Look at his neck. Mr. Ross is wearing the Medal of Honor. Only the very bravest soldiers receive a Medal of Honor.
He looks proud. 461 soldiers received a Medal of Honor in World War II. He is one of only 8 Medal of Honor winners still alive.
Today Mr. Ross, 93, lives in Dupont, Washington. He is joining many others in 2015 to remember the end of World War II seventy years ago.
