Glorious glide on Green Lake

It’s fall in Puget Sound. The leaves are turning to red, orange, yellow, brown, and gold. The weather is cool, but these rowers are not putting their canoes and kayaks away. They wear warm clothes because they like to row in the cold air.
In the photo, five people are paddling hard. They are getting ready for a race. The race is called the Eric Hughes Regatta on November 7.
Look at the rowers. They stretch their arms up. They bring their paddles down. They pull their paddles back through the water. The boats move forward.
These are very good rowers. They are training to row in the Olympic games some day.
