People are carrying this large lighted snake around Green Lake. It is a lantern in a parade. Many people bring lanterns to this parade. Some people dress in costumes. They want to say hello to fall. Their lanterns bring light to the darker days of fall and winter. This year the parade will start at 7:00 on Sunday, September 21. Two days later on Tuesday, September 23, fall will officially start.
