Kay Joubert, Companion Animal Services Director at PAWS of Lynnwood, goes slow with Ghandoon, a 2-year old Anatolian Shepherd, who arrived at the shelter Tuesday visibly scared and agitated having traveled half way around the world from her home in Iran

This is Ghandoon. Ghandoon needs a new home because Iran does not want people in cities to have dogs as pets. She just arrived in the U.S. from Iran. Her airplane ride was 19 hours long, so she is tired and afraid. Ghandoon is two years old, and she will live for a short time at the PAWS animal shelter in Lynnwood. Kay Joubert, a director at PAWS, is petting her. At the shelter Ghandoon will learn how to live with people. She will learn how to walk on a leash and play. Then Ghandoon will be ready for her new life with a new American family. She is a lucky dog!
