Fall is mushroom time. Mushroom hunters can find many mushrooms in the forests of the Northwest. Mushrooms are very tasty, but be careful. Some mushrooms are can make you very sick. And some mushrooms can kill you. At this health show, Tim Sage is looking at a card. He is reading information about the big mushroom on the table. It has a long name, “clitocybe gigantea.” He tells Liz Weyrick, “You can eat it, but it is not a good idea.” The Puget Sound Mycological Society has much information about mushrooms. It also has a show about wild mushrooms every year. This year it will be on Oct. 13-14. For information on the show and eating wild mushrooms click here.
